Artifacts of Life
By Victoria Netessine
Here I have painted a deer skull (representing death), roses (utilized to show life) and a pitcher (which demonstrates between). The “in between” could be anything from emotion to thoughts, and is neither alive nor dead. All three symbols are all on the same table because any given life cycle needs to incorporate all three of these factors. The background is light blue to show the sky. The sky is meant to reinforce the idea that no matter where you are on our earth, at what time and whatever year, you will always be under the same sky.
