International Women’s Day, which just occurred on March 8th, inspired me to celebrate the wonderful women leading the fight for gender equality. I compiled a list, in no particular order, of those who have recently stolen the spotlight. The time for action is now!

1. Emma Watson

    Besides inspiring all girls in school through her role as the outspoken and brilliant Hermione Granger, Emma has launched the #HeforShe movement, sparking international discussion regarding women’s rights.

2.Oprah Winfrey

3. Gal Gadot

    Gal both plays a superhero and is a superhero - for women’s rights. She continues to use her Wonder Woman powers in the fight for gender equality!

4. Michelle Obama

5. Malala Yousafzai

    Malala, since a young age, has courageously advocated for women’s rights and education throughout the world. Make sure to read her book I Am Malala !!
