SHOE TRENDS

Platforms

  • Platforms are a great shoe that fits casual settings like school but can also be dressed up with a cute fall outfit. Most fashion sneaker companies are popping up with platform options like Superga, Vans, Converse and more so this style is easily accessible.

Chunky “dad” shoes

  • While platforms are totally in right now, they may be a bit uncomfortable to walk in as they don't bend with your feet. Dad shoes are even newer to the fashion scene, and they are totally comfortable with great ankle support. Filas along with old school Pumas have been coming in hot and can be purchased at stores like Urban Outfitters and local thrift shops (thrifting is always a good option for a real vintage vibe).

Booties (western and combat)

  • Cowboy boots are being spotted more and more. You can now match these boots with anything - not just kick boot jeans. Western-style boots look great with any outfit and really make you stand out. Combat boots like Doc Martens are also being seen a lot on trendy Instagrams. The lace-up combat boots are also popular in the platform style. Both western and combat boots are great for festivals and other day time activities that require a trendy look.

Animal print

  • Cheetah and leopard print seen on every shoe from fashion sneakers to pumps. Animal print may not be a trend as it always seems stylish. This classic but still funky pattern catches the eye. Also, try fun colors like hot pink animal print - if that’s your taste.

Short rain boots

  • Seen in a lot of outfits (looks practical with everything and can get dirty). I have also seen people wearing short rain boots to festivals because they are easy to clean - but in my opinion, they look cute with everything!
