Three Easy Halloween Hacks

By Jason Newmark

1.     A Handful of Treats - This is a super easy idea that is great as small favors, all you need is surgical gloves, small candies, and a ribbon. Just take one of the surgical gloves, which would preferably be somewhat clear. Then stuff the gloves with small candies, like smarties or long tootsie rolls for the fingers and tie the top off with a ribbon. For even more fun you can put a ring on one of the fingers.

2.     A rainbow pumpkin - This project is a bit more challenging, you will need a mid-sized white pumpkin, about 16 assorted color crayons, glue, and a hair dryer. First peel the paper off the crayons and glue them around the stem of the pumpkin. Then put the pumpkin on a trash bag or tarp to catch the dripping and using a hair dryer, make sure it is blowing hot air. Blow the hair dryer on the crayons until they drip and run all over the pumpkin.

3.    Witch Hat Cookies - This treat is both delicious and easy to make, you will need black cookie (Oreos, thin mint, etc.) orange or green frosting and a Hershey's Kiss. Make a ring with the frosting around the rim of Hershey’s Kiss then put it in the center of the cookie. Then plate nicely and serve to your guests or put in bags to give to friends.
