To learn about my culture, inspired by Jim Mortram's documentary photography, I captured Evelyn's heritage through colorful photographic images that embody Ghana's liveliness. She wears a traditional Bubu gown and headgear with a framed drawing of her village chief father in the background to represent her prideful ancestry. Food is a gateway for communal bonding in Ghana, so her portrait is next to vertically arranged images of staple Ghanaian fish, jollof rice, and Ghanaian tomato sauce. Size: 73.66 cm x 60.96 cm
