Tell me about your jewelry.
It’s all handmade using materials from Colombia, imported by my family who live there. My great grandma made the bags.
What is your inspiration?
I see jewelry when I’m out, and I’m like, “I could make that!” It’s because I’m cheap and I don’t want to buy it if I could make it hahaha.
When did you start making jewelry?
I started when I was 7 or 8 in Colombia because I was taking a class at a little jewelry place. Plus, my aunt makes jewelry.
What is your favorite piece you’ve ever made?
I made my mom an entire wire wrapped necklace with a statement piece in the middle surrounded by spirals made out of wire, but she lost it …. :-(
Do you dabble in any other art making forms?
I make soaps during the holidays, and I collage a lot. Oh! And I make origami boxes.
Speed round!
Favorite book?
Oh my gosh! I don’t read that much but let’s go with… The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.
Movie?
This old sixties movie from Spain called Amor en el Aire.
Food?
Pad Thai.
Pizza Topping?
Spinach? Mushrooms? Cheese? I don’t eat pizza that often.
