Gender Stereotypes

Gender Stereotypes is a vanitas photograph that is meant to critique and portray the typical divide in our gendered society and convey my experiences living in it. Throughout my life, I have struggled with balancing masculinity and femininity, represented by the diptych with pink and blue sides. This piece was inspired by contemporary still life photography and classic vanitas paintings from the 1500s.
