I wanted to experiment with the effect of neon signs and artificial lights that project unnatural colors on people. I was inspired by Kohki Yamaguchi and his use of crystals to create reflections. I pushed the reds and oranges and purples and blues so that they dominated the image while making sure the light on the subject remained soft. I liked the subject's pensive expression, almost as if she was on a lively and conscious-expanding road, thinking about distant memories.
