This piece reflects the teenage struggle of seeking the right path in life. It depicts a teen facing three suns on the horizon. Their warm but distant brightness symbolizes hope. The fact that there is not one but three suns suggests that the teen sees multiple bright life paths ahead but is struggling to choose. To further emphasize his confusion, soapwort, the flower of confusion, grows around the teen; the light ripples on the water are also shaped to resemble the Chinese character for confusion.
