Chinatown Afternoon

I shot this for the "Story of a Place" project for film-photos 2. I ended up really liking these photos and definitely considered them some of my better taken photos this year. I don't have much to say besides here is my (revised) artist statement: The word unique instantly came to mind when I think of the word city because in cities you can find a diverse range of people with varying styles, backgrounds, and hobbies. The busyness in each frame helps portray the essence that, even in isolated neighborhoods, there is never a dull moment in the city—things are always going on whether that is a flashing fire truck, a relaxing day trip, or even a passing argument. Each image has a unique story and element that accentuates what distinguishes the city from other regions, so I tried my best to represent a busy afternoon in Chinatown, Philly.
