Consuming

By Electra Buvoli (11)

This artwork is composed of a lively tree creeping into every possible crevice in my face. This is meant to represent the overwhelming and consuming feeling stress inflicts. The roots and ground infiltrate me, portraying my presence being strangled. Often school and athletics can make me feel like I'm drowning in work, it can be suffocating, and at times it can feel never ending. Similar to the expression and growth of the massive tree seeming never ending and chaotic in its expansion.
