Now They Can Reach the Top Shelf on Their Own!

This piece is meant to be a 50s advertisement written by a man. The woman in this image is a housewife who is elegantly dressed to show how delicate and "feminine" she is. This advertisement has a double meaning that women can now do things on their own, and (from society's perspective) women are delicate, and either need a man's helps or something else's help. The woman is wearing yellow to show how uncomfortable she is and red to show her anger due to being treated as something that constantly needs someone's help. Her house is blue to give a homely sense, ironic because she is uncomfortable in her own home when it should be the other way around.
