Too Much

By: Electra Buvoli (11)

My artwork Too Much depicts a girl in a surrealist scene, crying. The anonymous girl is overwhelmed by emotions while simultaneously allowing her imagination to drive her mind. The bugs surrounding her symbolize fear and disgust, the spider attacking the delicate butterfly at the top parallels how fear can consume happiness. The fire which she is resting on is being put out by her tears, symbolizing feeling burnt out. This work is meant to be odd and make no sense, as at times our minds do.
